The Warbastion Club
So what’s this about?
This event was founded three years ago by the ‘Geek and Sundry’ YouTube channel as a way for the world to celebrate tabletop gaming together. Every spring, fans from around the world post thousands of events on www.tabletopday.com with 2014’s event encompassing 80 countries hosting as many as 3000 events across all 7 continents. We aim to include Gibraltar in this growing list of participating countries to bring together gamers of all types and share our love of gaming.
11th of August 2015.
This is the date where Gibraltar’s first event will be held at the regimental hall (the old parcel post office in Line Wall Road). The doors will be open to the public from 10am straight through to 9pm.
Entry is free.
Bring and Play.
Visitors are encouraged to bring any of their favourite games and play with their own families, friends and others. Board games, card games and role playing games are all welcome. It will be a great opportunity to discover and try new games throughout the day and also chat with like-minded
people. There will also be a select few volunteers who will be happy to demonstrate and run a few role playing games for the public throughout the day. (Schedule TBC).
The Warbastion club will be holding their annual Warhammer 40K tournament in the main hall and presenting prizes at the end. The entry fee is £10 but there is limited space. There will also be Warmachine and Horde tournaments hosted. (Schedules TBC). As always, it will be a visual treat to see the club’s fully painted models and it hardly requires any further encouragement.
